I like that these companys spend thousands for an engeneer to come up with these designs so that folks can cut holes in them. Allow garbage additional routes into the firearms and change the relationship of mass and dwell times.

And sometimes they find the quickest way to just make something function to sell to the masses then later come out with custom shop guns that mimick what gunsmiths do to make them run better, or be better at concealing under a shirt.

Companies spend far more than thousands on engineering these guns, but that doesnt mean they are engineered to be the best of their potential. If that was the case you better not change sights or triggers on any of your guns also.

Ok, men and women. Don't beat up Conner if the services he is offering are not your cup of tea! He is selling a service that has been going on for years. If you believe that firearms are perfect from the factory so be it but I for one have paid gunsmiths lots of money over the years for action jobs, sights, checkering, beavertails, frame modifications, ect.
I for one intend to use Connor for some work on my Kahr MK9 or TP9 as soon as I figure out what I want done.

I guess I'm just more pragmatic having fought for my life with folks far from back up. I just thing rolling around on a shin deep black mud and snow logging road trying to keep someone from taking your firearm why in god's name would you cut holes in in to allow even more material to get down in the mechanism. Heck I've seen striker fired guns that failed to go boom and the culprit turned out to be lint why make more openings for it. Now if it's aesthetics like the guys who buy 3500 dollar rims for the 4x4 truck they will never take off the road ok. For a carry gun I'm going to keep it as proof against environmental debris as possible. As art work I say good for you just not really able to understand it as anything beyond that

Cool story. If the engineers that designed these guns were given the mandate to make them the best they can be instead of making something that will appeal to the masses for the lowest possible price, the guns they designed would probably have very little in common with the unmodified factory guns you own and shoot.

If they were building perfection they would be like my nighthawk 1911. Or maybe my TRP Operator

Mine can barely be called Glocks.
Suarez slide
RMR
Fitted Barsto barrel
Suarez trigger
Suppressor sights
Ti firing pin
Steel guide rod
Different springs.

But I have shot several 3.5" groups at 100y from a rest with 3 different Glocks, so they compare well to high end 1911s in performance. Better when you factor in the red dot.

If you don't like Glocks, say so. But 1911s will never be as reliable as a Glock, XD, 320 etc. And don't forget, Springfield use to have a ton of their 1911 stuff made by Taurus in Brazil. I have seen Conner's work, and it is excellent. Would I do it to mine? No. Would I recommend him to someone? Unequivocally.
