Need a sight dovetail cut in 1911 slide

I have a stainless national match type slide with the raised rib that I need a Novak dovetail cut for a front sight. Looking for someonn in the OKC area, any suggestions?

Youre absolutely right, there is. A "3/8 dovetail" is more of a guideline than an absolute with tolerances in the thousandths of an inch being the difference between done right and done screwed up. Also a sight "pusher" is much better than a hammer and drift punch for installation.
I have the sight I need installed so the gunsmith can make the cut to the propper tolerances. Although I do most of my own "smithing" I am not set up for cutting a dovetail and will defer to the professionals in that area.

Be careful with that statement. The hammer pound and whack crowd will take issue with that statement. Been there done that! lol

Who hasn't been there?!? You gotta do what you gotta do to get the job done! I've even had to use a pipe wrench to get a barrel nut off once!
