1.) Russia is no longer Communist (although some older conservatives still have cold war hangover which is somewhat understandable, except McCain & Graham get no pass on that one LOL)
2.) Russia is a predominantly Caucasian, Christian nation
3.) Russia is at war with radical Islam
4.) Putin is an alpha-male who doesn't support gay/transgender marriage & agenda
These people essentially want to nuke Russia for not being left-wing-politically-correct-anti-Christian enough...that sums up my opinion of the entire "Russia thing" gentlemen.
