I have the RCBS Primer Pocket Swager, but I have not used it in long time. I now use an RCBS Trim Mate Case Prep Center Straight Cone Military Crimp remover. But, the chamfer tool will work.

I don't like reaming or chamfering because it removes metal. Yes they work fine when done properly I just prefer swaging. There is no better tool than the Dillon super swage.

This reminds me, I need to find that big container I have filled with once-fired HXP brass. I have no use for it, as I know I won't reload it.

I had an RCBS Primer Pocket Swager and using it on LC-05 308 cases left a bad taste in my mouth.
If I was lucky 1 out of 10 cases would allow a primer to go in.
Many primers got crushed. 2 trips swaging and it was still the same.

I sold it!
I have never swaged since.
If you get a swager look somewhere besides RCBS. The RCBS will not fit the lee classic cast ram either.. you must buy or make a part for it to work.

Mine worked but it was a pain and time consuming.
I have a set of primer pocket gauges I use to check for proper size before I try to prime. I painted the ends on mine red and green.

Just finished sizing 600 7.62 cases and searched swage removers and happened on this thread.

I have the RCBS press swager I used ten years ago or more and recall it was slow and my hand was wore out after priming 50 cases. Now, like I said that was a while back.

But what I’m wondering is about is 600 cases. The Dillon Super Swager 600 seems like a lot of money unless a guy was buying a lot of Lake City, no? Or unless a guy could borrow one. Buying one would boil down to more than a quarter per case.

Thoughts?
