LOL. Direct gave me a flyer that said it was nothing more than rumors that satellite goes out when there are storms. Something about only the worse of storms takes it out. So far this year, I've yet to have it not go out during a storm.

Yeah. Ditto. But I have weather radio for when it goes out. Still ... it vexes me when it goes out.

I guess we are gonna get it here sometime after midnight. Dawg will make sure I know ALL about it. Glad I have him now. I don't get headaches when storms come through now (thank GOD and Dr. Stuart) so it's up to him to alert me.

He's such a good dog.

Well, a drop of rain will soon knock out our satellite and internet. It don't take much. Direct hates weather of any kind, and ATT is still using antennas made from 65 Plymouth Belvedere.
To continue watching HDTV if your satellite goes out during storms and such. (We have direct TV as well and have almost zero issues) go here to buy this 150 mile antenna that really works. We are 100 miles from the nearest broadcast station in Osage county SE of Ponca City, and I can get over 60 channels including the main OKC channels to watch weather, Wichita, and Tulsa channels.
I have it mounted on a 6' piece of 3/4" PVC pipe shoved over a steel rod that is stuck into the ground right outside my shop. Its $36 bucks and includes a 360 degree remote control rotator, and 30 some feet of coax.
I guarantee it works like a champ. I currently have it hooked up to a TV in my shop, and had a buddy come by for a visit that saw it, bought one and canceled his cable service.
We bought it for our RV so when we get too far away from civilization and the built in antenna on the roof doesn't work any more, I can set this up in 5 minutes and pick up channels.

Here comes another one but think it's going north and south of us. Might get a corner of it before the next one. Or it might just run right over us.....Oklahoma where the wind (and mobile homes) come sweeping down....you know the rest.

Here's the hail that gave me a couple of new creases on the hood of my truck during a storm spotting session Saturday night. South of Bristow on Hwy 48 @ the Okfuskee County line.
