I like both, providing...

- The MMA fighters stay on their feet (long, drawn-out ground & pound bouts are just annoying).

- The boxers actually fight (a lot of clinching also annoys me).

Lol, maybe I'm too easily annoyed... :D

I don't remember Hogan vs Ali, but I would have been pretty young back then...lol
As far as pounding, some of those MMA girls get 'er done for sure. Wouldn't want to battle against any of them these days. If I have to pay to see a fight and it cannot be Frazier vs Ali, then I am all for ringside seats and free beer for MMA.

MMA guys grapple and use feet, elbows, knees and so on. If MMA fought a pro fighter, using boxing rules, the boxer wins every time.
Boxers use reach, punching power and distance. MMA is tight and fast.
I think I watched a bout, several years ago, but it was a fixed with some journeyman boxer and a rising MMA star.
Never heard of the boxer or mma guy before or after.

Wonder how the MMA vs Boxer match-up is gonna play out? Straight boxing may get the MMA fella whooped.
I expect McGregor to lose a very boring fight to Mayweather who is a defensive genius (ducks and covers the whole fight just trying to score points). If McGregor can sneak that one punch in though, boxing might be done.

Agreed. If they were grappling I would certainly think Connor would take it easily, but in gloves Mayweather may hurt him bad. Either way the payoff is YUGE!!!

I hate Mayweather. I think he's a great boxer, but I hate the guy.
