Never could understand the mindset.

If a girl didn't want me, I couldn't get far enough (or fast enough) away from her.
No I was talking about the ones that were so much fun you couldn't stay away even though you knew it was bad, bad , bad for you....
Yeah... sorry, but I just never cared to be where I wasn't wanted. No matter how gorgeous, enthusiastic, talented, or "whatever" they were.

Maybe it's just me. ;)

The ones that wouldn't leave you alone, they still want you but you know it will be the death of you ....... I should have stuck with my gut and let it go but I was young and foolish back then

You can lead a horse to water...

I've seen this many times. Some women just can't cut things completely off with abusive guys.

They will cuss them, kick them, and try to kill them, but they just can't stay away from the dude.

Unfortunately, sometimes there's just nothing you can do for them.

Exactly - same old story - some like the "bad boy" until they get a full dose and get dead.

Can't help those who won't help themselves with the resources you've tried to make a connection for them. Basic human nature, really...

This woman has issues. That's why she keeps going back. There is nothing anyone can say or do to help her until she realizes(most likely never) that she does have issues and seeks help. Professional help. That doesn't in any way 'excuse' the dirt-bag's behavior.

If the dirt-bag moves on to softer turf, she will eventually find another unless she addresses her issues. I've seen it happen.
