Hey all, I purchased this 1942 K98 barreled receiver a couple years ago from another forum member. Now I think I'd like to assemble the rifle back into its original configuration.
Could someone here with some knowledge help answer a few questions I have?
I was just planning on buying all the missing parts but most before I do I was wondering if it's at all acceptable to buy another k98 bolt and use it in my receiver. I'm not very familiar with mausers and was wondering if another k98 bolt from the same rifle would work without modification. I was planning on getting it head spaced since the bolt would obviously not be the one that was matched with the rifle. Is getting it head spaced necessary?
Also if anyone else has any advice they can share or resources I can use I would appreciate it.
