Just a few quick and dirty pics of my new to me S&W pistols. I bought these two revolvers to use as conceal carry guns. Just picked them up today and haven't cleaned them up yet but I like what I see so far.

I have never owned a Model 49 but thought the design was cool looking and easy to conceal with the almost hidden hammer.

I have owned Model 36's but the ones I used to own were too pretty to carry around. This older flat latch looks to be in good condition, but it has been carried and has some wear so it can continue in that role.

The 36 looks like an early 1960's model and mid 1970's for the 49 based on serial number information I found.

Thanks for looking!

A pair of vintage beauties for sure! :clap3:

Those two little fellers were made back in S&W's heydays, when a little old man in a leather apron sat at his workbench and put 'em together with care and pride, one at a time.:patriot:

Again...two of my very favorites. Thanks for sharing. :thumb:

Very nice! Vintage J-frames are my absolute favorite little gun. Those are a couple of sweeties. One of my favorite carry pieces is an old no dash model 36 that has seen better days. It's ugly, pitted, and way too bad to consider refinishing, but it's perfect mechanically and I never have to worry about carry wear. :)

Those are nice little jaybirds. I'm jealous. And let me second Vintage Gun Grips; they will do you right if you go with them.
