Interesting that his partner or the security guards didn't step in when the other hospital workers approached the arresting officer. Watching the other officer's body cam, he said "hey" a few times and that was it.

Typical behavior from an individual who a) is used to getting his way b) has been told he's special for years c) might actually be good at his job, and doing an important job and then d) runs up against someone who tells him he's wrong and doesn't back down.

It's not unique to cops. It's just more visually striking when a cop reacts due to their broader range of allowable actions.

I am only guessing, but he looks like he has his 20 in. When these guys, no matter how many years they have on, stop using their critical thinking skills and start bullying people they are no longer "special" and need to be treated like the ****ing bullies they are.

His supervisor, who was on the phone egging him on, needs to be gone, too.

So not a lawyer, doesn't matter that there was apparently a prior agreement between the Department and the hospital about drawing blood. I don't care about CDL policy, HIPAA policy, department policy, or hospital policy.
What I do care about is a cop who uses force, and his power as a LEO, to detain/arrest an innocent/non-combative women literally doing her job. So if he is willing to use force on a woman who is not a threat and is obviously a "good guy" on camera in front of hospital staff, what is this guy doing out on the street, and why did the Department back him up.
If she had backed down, they would have gotten away with this and nothing would have come of it. Good for her. Hopefully we all the fortitude to stand up to a bully who is using his badge as a fist, or handcuffs in this case.

there not, but it does keep her from being arrested. the blood test same as her would have be tossed .

No!! Had she taken that blood she would have faced charges!! LE was dead wrong! Only thing that nurse asked for was the officer abide by the law!!

Question - why did it take all this time for this video to come to light and go viral? Who finally put it out there for all to see? I mean, come on, this happened over a month ago. And, if someone had not finally put it out there, this would have all just disappeared.

If the commercial truck driver, who was burned and unconscious, has a CDL, does consent even need to be obtained to collect blood since the driver was on duty at the time of the collision? I had the impression the FMCSA regs stated no consent was required.

I believe even with the CDL, the implied consent falls under state law. Utah implied consent covers all drivers but still requires probable cause and requires the officer to make certain notifications to the driver.
