Here it is. I pretty much throw away the factory hooks on every lure I buy and rehook with gamagatsu hooks.

I made it out to Kaw today.
Ended up with a full livewell and releasing probably 20 others the same size.
Every cast catching a fish for almost an hour.
The board is 12" wide for reference.
2 1/2 lb was the biggest and the rest not far under.

If I was to show this thread to the better half she'd have my A$$ on a hook, it's been far to long since the 2 of us have been out fishing, nice haul on both trips..

Because they are... what? Stronger? Different shape?

Inquiring minds want to know why... :D

Sharper, harder steel to retain the point, and they do have a different design that seems to hold fish better, plus the hooks that typically come with lures that size have smaller hooks.
Big hybrids and stripers have really thick lips and need bigger hooks to get buried in there.
I'm a fanatic for razor sharp hooks.
