Trump was vilified by the leftist press a few months ago when he tweeted that Trump tower was wiretapped by the obama administration.
James Clapper, John Brennan, and obama himself denied this. There are video's out there to prove that with Clapper and Brennan being under oath before congress stating that.
Well, how interesting it's becoming.......CNN is now reporting that Paul Manafort was a subject of a FISA warrant for surveillance while he lived and office'd in Trump Tower meaning Trump may have been caught up in incidental surveilance. He was a Campaign officer at the time, living in Trump tower, and working for Trump.
That makes Trumps comments true.
cnn is trying hard to spin the comments by Trump, and I'll post the CNN report on this.

Here is a Fox News report,

Unfortunately, Nixon's fall is ancient history to many people. A comparison needs to be made of what he did with what the Obama administration did. Someone in Nixon's presidency hired a few rogue operators to wiretap (physically place "bugs") democratic headquarters and then Nixon tried to cover it up when they were caught. The technology of wire tapping was crude at that time ... today every single person is at risk of it without the need to break into our homes and offices. So the sins of the Obama administration in using official government intelligence gathering to spy on it's political opponents are far greater. Obama did something that threatens each of our rights and deserves the broadest condemnation. Without such condemnation we are on the path to becoming east Germany under the grip of the Stasi.

They used the FISA courts and warrants - which is exactly what they are designed for. Secret surveillance, no evidence and no ability to defend oneself. It's the perfect storm, and this is is what .gov leaders have wanted for decades. It won't go away, and politicians will just keep ignoring it. What benefit is there to them to stop this practice? None.

The leftists will desperately cling to the fantasy that it isn't a "wiretap", if they didn't physically break in and bug the place like they do in old movies. Like it's 1972 and technology is frozen in time. :rolleyes2

A good analogy would be saying the Second Amendment only covers flintlocks, and anything new is immune from the Second Amendment.
