We don't know why (think it might be the new med for the gastroparesis) but my blood sugars are all over the place. This morning they were so low I couldn't walk down the hall without holding on to the walls. I sure could have used that walker! Lol I looked like a drunk walking from the car to Big Buffalo Grill this morning. A couple of pancakes with a TON of syrup made me feel a lot better. I think I'm gonna stop taking that stuff and call the doctor Monday. It's a wild feeling waking up drunk. Haha!
If that doesn't work for ya, I have a low mileage walker.

Heck. Purplehaze and I tried to kill each other via a stair climbing challenge this week. I made 25 in one session and he made 30. The winner loses in this case. But can you imagine, he and I combining for 55 flights???

Wiley X for fat noggins.

How was the PRK? I had lasik 10-12 years ago and now, at almost 50, I need some correction. PRK or RPK or some commie sounding surgery was suggested, but it scared me.

PRK wasn't bad. Instead of cutting a flap they scrape off part of your eye. Same laser procedure but longer recovery. Cost less and has less chance of complication so I put up with the longer recovery.

My lasik was done back in 2003 at Triad by Mark Able.Had to do a touch up a year later but was money well spent. My wifes insurance through Metlife at the time paid all but $1200.

My buddy had that done because of reading about lasix where some folks in accidents, etc had the flap come loose because of the impact to the head. I think this was mentioned in a link earlier in this post.
He said it was extremely painful for the first week after the procedure, (he has a REALLY low pain threshold) but months afterward, said his vision is perfect, and was a great decision. Had his done at the Hughes eye institute in OKC.

Dang!! You two must be skinny-minis by now. I'm getting there. It's not hard to do when you can't stomach the smell or taste of food, and what little you do get down you toss. The doctor got onto me for my weight loss Thursday. I didn't say anything but WTF does he expect. The test showed my stomach is only passing 25% of what I eat. And that's gonna be an ongoing issue for the rest of my life. I'm sure I'll get it worked out, but it's gonna take a minute cause it's new to me. Lol

Haha! At the rate things are going I can't laugh too hard at that!! I need to research if they have wheelchairs with disc brakes. You know, for when the old man shoves me off the top of that REALLY steep hill.
