I was at the range, a guy comes up and told me the bolt is out of an M2, had some chipping on the stock, near the recoil lug, told me dremel it and fill it with wood putty. Very fun to shoot!

I used to keep one in a homemade rack behind the seat in my truck.

My biggest complaint with the carbine is the price of factory ammo.

I have three Carbines, two Rockolas, one of which is "sported up" chrome bolt, blues barrel/metal and the other is original and has a Rockola mag. Try the last and least is National which shoots well. And beau-coup ammo.
