My personal favorites are Trijicon HD (XRs) with the orange post.

My least favorite are their blacked out suppressor sights; I wouldn't say that I am any less accurate with them, but the time it takes before I am confident enough to break the shot is SUBSTANTIALLY increased!

My eyes do not work very well with blacked out sights either. I have a black set of suppressor sights on one of mine but only as a backup to an RMR.

personally i prefer the model 27, it can easily change calibers to 9mm with a lone wolf barrel swap and its almost identical to a model 26. people say you have to swap out the extractor and this and that BS i have seen them run flawless with just a barrel swap....not much of a difference between the 2 guns to be honest. it can also get changed to .357 sig with a barrel change and a different caliber also i believe....... you will need to use the appropriate mags for the caliber thought, and there are so many different magazines and grip extension options that it can basically become a fullsize grip model 19 or 23 just a smaller slide and frame. its good to have options. as for the sights i recommend id go for meprolight tritium. they just seem like a good brand i can get behind being Israeli military backed. i always wanted to try out there mprolight m21 i think its called optic. its like a red dot but with tritium. to expensive and burns up after 10 years for my taste.

on the note of the sights i spent about 40-50$ on the dang tools to change out the sights on this glock and i doubt i will have to use this jig/press or the special screwdriver again...atleast for 10 years. of coarse i have yet to shoot it enough to see if its spot on sighted in, the boresighter i got for .40sw kinda makes me question wtf.

True. I run a 23 kind of contraption and have a LW 9mm barrel for it as well. Grip is chopped so I can run 26,27,19,23,17,22,31,32,33 mags in it. And you can run a 40 mag in a 357 and vice versa. Makes for a flexible platform.

I know it did. I was there for it. He could pick up the front sight easier with the red but apparently it was a little overwhelming to his eyes and was having trouble seeing the target while focusing on the front sight. Pink, or any other color solved it for him. It was just a guess from me but it turned out to be right. People have a hard time understanding that not everybody sees or reacts to different colors and light the same way. Thats why its so hard to recommend a sight set for someone or even yourself without actually trying them.

A bit older post but thought I'd chime in. I was taught by a well respected instructor to not focus on the front sight like a lot of people teach but to focus on the target with tthe front sight in view in the fore ground. Takes a bit to get use to but for me works great and allows me to keep a better view on the target/s down range. Also, it take a bit of learning and range time but learn to shoot with both eyes open. It seems to really help me but its still difficult to keep both open and not go back to the one eye shooting.

This is true to a certain extent. I can hit what Im aiming at like that but to get truly good groups at range with a pistol you have to focus on the front sight. Of course under stress you target fixate anyway and cant focus on the front sight. Thats why I went to an RMR.
