Tannerite!

This infestation seems to happen every few years out here. I believe they are Asian and not your typical ladybugs. They will bite too.

Also check inside your dog's mouth. Bug pester the dog and the dog bites at it. They collect on the roof of the mouth and can really harm the dog.

DEET spray keeps them off of my sliding glass door. Might give that a try.

We had an invasion of what looks like "Lady Bugs" that are actually Asian Beetles and the damn things will bite. I took care of them with a sprayer full of Demon WP. Sprayed the rock and warm surfaces on the outside and around the house and it took care of them and still is. They keep coming but they don't last long.

When we were kids, we took a family trip to one of the state parks. These bugs had clustered on a bush overnight. My little cousin was about 5 or 6 at the time and loved ladybugs. She got excited and let them crawl all over her. They all bit simultaneously, poor thing started screaming bloody murder. She had welts all over her arms and face.
