I wasn't being serious.
Up until today, I had full confidence in Trump. After hearing him push for the bump stock ban, I no longer have that confidence. I mean really, how many of these have been used in shooting sprees? One. And he thinks banning them will make a difference. Won’t be long, he will start talking about another assault weapons ban.
Now imagine if Hillary would have been elected.
The only former candidate I can see not pushing something like this is Rand Paul. Solid AF on the 2A.
This was my thought exactly. Hillary and a Democratic Congress would have already done much, much worse damage to gun owners. With the Republican majorities in both Houses hanging by a thread, we could see a Democratic-controlled Congress as early as the 2018 mid-terms. A Democratic victory in the 2020 presidential race is all but guaranteed now. The Left hates Trump and everyone who voted for him, while some of those who voted for him seem to be abandoning him.
