Hmmmph...

My wife has an issue with being able to close her left eye for sighting, especially with a rifle. Thus, she ALWAYS had problems hitting a target. So, when we went to take our concealed carry course and range time, I was curious. She was on a lane about 2 or 3 lanes down from me, so after about a dozen rounds being fired, I laid my handgun down and slipped down behind her to look at her target.

I went back to my lane thinking, "Ain't no way I'm messing with this woman." Unknown to her at the time, she wasn't aiming the handgun, but rather she was "pointing" it at the silhouette target and doing a bang-up job. She also has a revolver with a laser sight. She could never hit good groups with it, so I told her to turn off the laser. Trying to create a group with a laser point on the target that kept moving as she did or breathed was her problem. With the laser off, she gets good groups.

The old lady in the next lane was shooting my target.

That happened with me in Basic Training. I was missing the target, but the drill sergeant saw the group created by the guy next to me and adjusted my sights accordingly. (Incidentally, I was one of three enlistees among a whole company of National Guard and Reservists that were taking basic.) Later, when they were discussing my horrific results on the regular ranges, they had me go back to the 25 meter course. That's when we figured out what happened to my sight adjustments.

After that, I was hitting regularly on the range.

CC here will be hard to get through, it is about money and power not a God given right. Above someone posted about a lack of gun handling skills at a range but do you think that an 8 hour class and firing 50 rounds at 7 yards really makes a person safe to carry? I don't but then again I shoot, have taken classes and courses, and try to improve my skills so if I ever do need them I will not freeze up or not be able to perform.

By your use of the "CC," I presume you are referring to "Constitutional Carry" and not "Concealed Carry?"
