Savage 110 build/barrel twist

Hey guys wanted to throw this out there see if i can find some help. Im currently gathering up all new goodies to build another long range boomer. Anyways i havent had any luck finding a set of go no go gauges to get my barrel headspaced right. Its goina be in 300win mag.

So my question is, is there anyone with a set of gauges out there willing to let me borrow them? Or sell? Heck if anyone can find a set on google that i missed send me a link.

Id sure appreciate any help i can get. Il put some pics up wen i start gettin parts in, cuz its no fun without seein the project right.

There are ways to do it without the gauges.

With the exception of the .240 Weatherby Magnum, most belted, magnum cartridges are based on the .375 H&H Magnum case. Therefore, they all use the same headspace gauges. The following is a partial listing of those cartridges which use the same Belted Magnum Headspace Gauges: .257 Weatherby Mag., 6.5 Rem. Mag., .264 Win. Mag., .270 Weatherby Mag., 7mm Rem. Mag., 7mm Weatherby Mag., 7mm STW, .300 H&H Mag., .300 Weatherby Mag., .300 Win. Mag., .30-.338 Win. Mag., .308 Norma Mag., 8mm Rem., .338 Win. Mag., .340 Weatherby Mag., .350 Rem. OH Jcann It did just hit me Those do not head space on the shoulder they do it on the magnum belt.
So would you need anything except a case??
And brass shim stock possibly. to slide between base of the case and bolt head to make the no go gauge basically.
Nothing you can do to change where the shoulder is compared to the case belt.

Heck Swampratt, I just copied/pasted from Brownells web site. I don't have a clue. Anytime I put that much pressure next to my face I would rather be safe than sorry and use the right tool for the project. Maybe someone with knowledge on the subject will chime in. I believe the link I posted will get the OP what he's looking for. It's a shame it will cost him $70 plus shipping for a one time use.

I agree to be safe first. and 70 bucks is chump change when it comes to building an accurate rifle.

Some of those headspace on the shoulder like 300 Win mag, 300 Weatherby mag, 7 Rem Mag, 338 Win mag. Some on the belt like .375 H&H Mag, 300 H&H Mag, 458 Win Mag
