Many thanks to all that made this event happen. Great people, great shooting, and oh, great food. Only downside is this is going to cost me some coin, I think I fell in love with a new rifle.

Got to spend some quality time afterwards scrubbing the heck out of a crusty flintlock.

I agree, for me it was the AK... Gotta get me one

I shot @okierider AK in Ponca, I could not bear to shoot it yesterday (gun envy), my son did and the first thing he said as we were driving home was "hey dad, that was the coolest gun, we really need to get one". Well of course I already knew that from shooting it a few months ago, sooooo we will be investing in a new gun for the boy once we find the right one. I would rather have the kids love to shoot than bitchhe about the 2A... No worries about that here. Thanks for a great time folks.

Polish AK 47 7.62x39. I put it together from a parts kit build my father attempted before he passed away. I have also built another from a Tantal kit in AK74 5.45x39. Both rifles run flawlessly and for what the are and the cheap ammo they are accurate. I would go with the 7.62x39 as the ammo for the 5.45 is getting harder to find in the cheap stuff, Hornaday makes ammo for it but price runs quite a bit more.
