I'm thinking about getting one. The last couple of times we went out of town, I had to lug an extra suitcase for mine. The idea of the smaller ones sure is appealing. Any of you guys have experience with them?

I wish. I have a BiPAP and they are $$$$ compared to CPAPs. I had the same problem flying to Oregon over xmas. I was fearful that they would lose my luggage if I packed it in there so it went in my carry on. Barely had room for a change of socks, underbrookies and a toothbrush

I have a CPAP and they are quite small. They come with their own case, and they do not count as a luggage as it is a carry on. I have resmed airsense 10, and the previous resmed s9 for trips.

This.

However it is a PITA to take the CPAP out of the case to send it thru the x-ray. I put mine in a plastic bag beforehand so it doesn't ride the lightning while getting contaminated. The best thing to do is get the TSA pre-check. I carry the CPAP on board, but lighten the load with the rest of the stuff (e.g. power supply, etc.) in checked baggage (with my firearm).

Give me a week or two. I just ordered a HDM Z1 for exactly that purpose, but I haven't gotten it yet. I was warned it was loud, but if I can sleep through my own snoring, it is bound to be okay.

A lot of truckers who have limited space use a CPAP now, might check on those type forums to see what they might recommend.

I have a resmed airsense10. It's a great machine. Nice and quiet but to load it up in the carrying case is a pain. I did learn to bring smaller bottles of water so I don't lug a gallon jug around. Mainly looking for input from those that have the smaller units for travel. They start around 500 so not something I want to jump into until I get some real life reviews.
