I admit I’m not well versed on legal language, but I read the text and I read that carry without permit was allowed under “certain circumstances”, but nothing that said carry, open or concealed was allowed without permit in entirety.

Can someone point to me where it is “constitutional carry” as in open or concealed with permit at all times? Did I miss it?
As I understand it from following OK2A, an amendment is to be added to SB1212 on Monday to make it constitutional carry. The amendment is HB 2951 as I understand it.

Likewise, I am unsure of legalities but "in entirety" is never going to happen - think jails etc... I applaude the demise of permits and associated fees and delays. I wish the legislation were more specific - good that you pointed this out. Some followup legislation is probably needed.

Perhaps someone else has studied constitutional carry legislation in other states and how it has panned out there.

There are places where officers are not allowed to carry either. Jails is one of them. I’ve seen uniformed officers told to surrender their weapons in Federal buildings as well.

My definition of Constitutional Carry is that anyone legally able to own/possess a firearm can carry open or concealed without permit or fees. Yes, there are some places that don’t want guns at their locations and that’s fine. I can take my business elsewhere.

There was an article by a woman in the Oklahoma city Sunday paper this morning talking about all the terrible things that will happen if it passed.Don't remember her name but I wished the Oklahoman would also let pro gun people have articles when bills like this are voted on.I know the Tulsa paper has always been liberal and it seems to be rubbing off on the Oklahoman too.

What a load of propaganda. Again this year the Chamber spreads fear of harm and economic loss with false information.
She appears to be quite well connected. It is disturbing that this attitude is respected among the state's elite. Show us your sources Madam Chamber President.
