Colt absolutely hates the fact that they have to sell Carbines AR15s to the public to stay in business.

Not sure what you're referencing with S&W, but Im not a fan of Springfield, RRA or even Ruger. I will Give Ruger a pass since their Anti 2A stance died with Bill.
The S&W thing I'm refrencing is the lock hole on the side of their guns. That is a direct result of avoiding a lawsuit. Sometimes referred to as a "Hillary hole".

OK was'nt familiar with them, not really a wheel gun guy myself.

But I think there's a big difference between that and Colt saying they dont think that us civvies should have AR15s.

Colt VOLUNTARILY suspended sales of AR15s as a result of the school shooting in Stockton CA that resulted in the 94 AWB.

Colt stopping manufacture of the 1991 was also a result of a shooting IIRC.

I'm not aware that Colt stopped selling the AR at any time. I believe that shooting you are refrencing was done with an AK anyway.

Yep, they stopped selling ARs on their own. I might have been a AK, dont remember. Doesn't matter though
Suspended sales for year 1989-1990 and then in April 1990 Colt reduced the size of the magazine included with the Colt AR-15 and resumed sales.

And yes, it was an AK47 used in Stockton.

Yep, all on their own without any outside pressure. They did the same with the 1911, though they did start selling them again but with out the name "1911". Dont know if that was because they were facing bankruptcy or what. How many times have they faced bankruptcy by the way? To me, they were far worse than Ruger when Bill Ruger was running the show.

The only reason I own a Colt now is, I was helping out a soldier of mine that needed some fast cash for a divorce. He wanted to buy it back when he could afford it. Sadly he was killed in Iraq in 04, and he didnt have any kids for me to pass it onto.
