I’ve always been a .308 guy but recently decided to branch out a little and bought a rifle chambered in 6.5CM. It has a 24” barrel and a 1:8 twist. Any of you load for this caliber and if so do you have any pet loads you would share for me to try?

I would start with 140 grain bullets. Overall, that seems to be a pretty consistent bullet across the whole cartridge. I just bought some 140 SST that I am going to test for hunting season. I also have a 6.5 Grendel, so I try to re-load with bullets and powder that will work in both. Seems like the Superformance has the fastest speeds of everything I've looked at in my Hornady book. I was thinking about buying the Lyman 50th edition since they have added 6.5 Creedmoor. I tested 129gr rounds through the CM and they seem to be pretty accurate. There so many rounds that have very nice BC's that you almost can't go wrong other than maybe a bonded round nose. HPBT, SST, Sierras, and Hogdgon all offer several rounds chambered in 6.5 Grendel and CM. Now if I could just find the .224 Valk, I would be set. I would imagine that at the very least Federal will start listing their loads since it is there rifle round.
