Now that I am on the downhill slide i wish to share my love of music with you Wiley and Gene groupies, and i'm now enjoying a beer or six again. i started listening to the "lucy strike hit parade" on early black and white tv, then went to American Bandstand, then to Beethoven, i still love Beethoven, but matriculated to Blues, it makes me feel. i love the blues, and will post my favorite tunes from all genres until i can post no more. so, introducing SRV

I listen to the blues daily on pandora. The start of rock and roll. Thanks for the thread and video's!
I didn't comment in your end of the journey thread because I had nothing to say. I didn't know what to say.
I had some memories of the day my dad was told his party was short because of his smoking. The first thing he told me was to roll him out to the balcony of the hospital to have a cigarette. I wanted to scream at him, but it only took a second or two to realize he needed to enjoy and do whatever made him happy for his time left.
I admire and respect you for doing the same thing. Party on dude and I wish I could have met you personally. I think we could have been brothers.
Now I need some more great blues and rock videos to watch.

maybe we can meet up at Wannemacher, i'm going to the Sunday session to hopefully avoid the massive crowd, Bob from Cherokee Hills is coming from Alabama and will have some grips there, plus i just want to meet him after spending hours on the phone.

i've got the Charley Patton recordings, you can actually here a guitar lick that every rock/blues player stole from him, but maybe he stole it from someone prior. listen to Roll and Tumble by any group who's covered it and you'll hear the riff still played today, Charlie Patton used it in If I had Possession Over Judgement Day, and Robert Johnson stole it from him LOL. i'll put it up, but the recording are from records made in the 20's and 30's, some of them only have one example surviving, so you get the scratches/ticks/hiss, plus Charley Patton was a Mississippi farm hand
