On top of the mental background check, there probably needs to be a in-store mental fitness challenge each time you try to purchase ammo....kinda like a field sobriety test. "We're all out - come back later, buster"...."Now what exactly are you going use this for - rifle or pistol?" etc... This should help eliminate even more dangerous people and prevent sales to people having rough days.
We can also dream that ammo of the future will be designed to go inactive after an expiration date. This will prevent people who become unstable from using home stockpiled ammo when they cannot pass the in-store test. People whose test scores are declining toward the danger zone will of course be sold ammo that is closer to expiring.
Google, WalMart and TSA will all have important part to play in making us safer while protecting our Second Amendment rights, of course!

I hope your right. If people are dumb enough to give those crooks power back then our country deserves to be destroyed. I don’t see how anyone could vote for them right now. Their whole platform is open borders, abolish ice, and to allow tons of illegals in.

Because most of the public believe what they hear on TV, so yes they are dumb enough.

Seriously the public has a pretty steady tradition on elections. Every 8 years a party gets someone elected to be prez. 8 years later it is the other parties turn. The first 2 years of a prez's term they usually control congress. After those 2 the other party takes the house and sometimes the senate depending on how many Senators are up for re-election from the party in power. That is why Hillary was the Dim's nominee in 2016. They knew she would not win but had to make it look like they backed her. Same for McCain 2008.

Oklahoma and the rest of the country already had ammo registration.
Back in the day you had to present ID to buy ammo and answer a question. Was the.22 for a rifle or pistol if you were under 21.
Of course everyone said rifle, then the clerk would smile and hand over the ammo.
When it was found to have no issues with the crime rate,.gov dropped the issue

I remember that. Always thought it was weird. Doesn’t seem like it was that long ago. Maybe a few years? When did that go away?
