I went Sunday and some guy at magazine table was a complete jerk. I was looking for COLT 1911 mags with extended base pads because they work better with my extended magazine well. I told guy what I was looking for and he starts handing me regular, flat bottom, 8-round mags. I told him those wont work for me. He then proceeds to tell they will fit just fine, he's been in the business for 56 years and that I'm wasting his time. I told him again that I know the magazines will fit, but its difficult to slap the bottom of a flat mag into a 1911 with a extended mag well and that's why I prefer the mags with extended base pads. He just walked away ...

But I did manage to eat at Fat Guys Burgers in Tulsa! It was awesome!

If you happen to have any expendable mags, you might look into Ed Brown's mag exchange program. For each 1911 magazine and $10 that you send to them, you can select your choice of stainless body magazines. The 848 8 pack mags would be what you are after.

Less than a year ago Midway had G17 mags for less than $18.00 a piece for one day.Someone on glocktalk told people about the ad and they were sold out in 4 or 5 hours. In the 90s during the Clinton era I didn't even own any semi autos and I saw a guy buying glock mags at the Wanenmacher for just under $100.00 a piece.

I said "kids" never really drove gunshow sales or numbers.

And I pointed out that "kids" have nothing to do with the discussion. Who is talking about kids? You introduced something totally irrelevant. Period.

I'm not sure why you believe you know what I've seen

Your earlier post said, "From what I've seen......" For that statement to be relevant you would have to have attended every music venue in the nation. You haven't, and it isn't (relevant, that is). Nice try at deflection.

I'm ignorant like I said on that.

In more ways than you know. I've seen your posts and don't know if you are genuinely ignorant or deliberately obtuse. But I have seen that anytime anybody tries to reason with you is like giving a dead man medicine.

It's your thread now.

I'm not deflecting, I'm relaying reality to compromise stupid and cliché blanket statements. I never acted like my anecdotes were universal.... and it's ironic that you basically told us how millennials like their music. Are you saying YOU'VE been to every venue in the U.S. recently? Just relaying that it's pretty obvious there's not a DJ spinning EDM (that's electronic dance music for the older folks) in every bar, club, or venue.... nor is it even a majority..... not....even close. Again, live music is getting bigger and bigger. I'm not saying ANYTHING that's breakthrough or a secret either.....

Finally, I get a lot of you boys like to *****, piss, and moan about the younger generations. I surely have had some tough experiences with getting "kids" to work so I get some of it. However, when it comes to "masculine" trends..... I grew up in the 80-90s. I'll be damned if I don't remember popular things like hair bands, spandex, tight jeans, white reeboks, earrings, etc.... ya know.... boys that looked like girls. I also remember my grandfather talking about the "kids" in the 70s speaking of my father. I wonder how we all made it out of each successful generation just fine?

Either way, to your hissy fit.... I'll kindly get off your lawn sir and you continue "reading somewhere" about millennials and their EDM music and thinking you know something.

These distributors and parts makers quit coming because of the the whoring out from the internet. Glock mags for under $20? That means someone lost their ass or had it handed to them. Gun shows will die because we think we are entitled to free sh@+.

Most people don't go to gun shows for free stuff. They go to score nice deals, search for hard to find items and occasionally pay too much for the convenience of picking up something now, rather than waiting for it to be delivered later. If we wanted to pay LGS prices for LGS available stuff, we'd go to a LGS on any of the other 361 days of the year.

Just sayin... :)

I agree completely Glocktogo.I support one local gun shop and 1 in Mustang. But if I can save 6 dollars on a glock mag I will buy it from that person online or anywhere else.I usually buy 10 at a time so if I can buy from Midway or CDNN that is 60 dollars I saved. Most of the people at the Wanenmacher that I deal with are from out of state anyway. The only guy I deal with regularly is nervous Kenny from Soonerstateknives.I have bought knives from him for 30 years so he has received enough of my money.I didn't feel bad at all finding the benchmade dealer that saved me 20% off what Kenny sold his benchmades for.If someone wants to pay more for the same product they are free to do so.I won't
