I'm sure the Nat'l Champion OU golf team would be glad to hear how excited you are about their accomplishments.

BTW, over the past 10 years, the Cowboys have gone 92-34, not exactly inconsistent.

Anyway, I never expected this simple little thread to turn into another OU-OSU pissing match. Inevitable, I guess.

I actually root for both schools because I didn't go to either. The Dressage remark. I just thought it was funny. It may even be true. I have no evidence that it isn't.

I usually root for OSU with the exception of Bedlam, but I did want WVU to win this one. Just cracks me up that some OSU fans always respond with "we have more Nat. Titles than OU" when the original discussion was about football.

I'm sorry, IMO golf is as exciting as women's equestrian. Now, lets get back to the topic, OSU's football program and how they pop up and throw a wrench in something but can never consistently win.
Football is not a sport that Trump's others. My be to some but not everyone. I was an administrator, teacher ,coach for 36 yrs in this state . Both my sons college education in engineering were paid for by football .I coached a state finalist team. That said, society as a nation does not eat ,drink, and breathe football any more.

I'll let you guy solve Oklahoma State's football " problems". I just prefer to think they do well considering most of their players are 3 star. That's because of the location of the university,ie, a rural setting .. 4 and five stare athletes will just be hard pressed locate themselves far from a metro setting. Now go get it! Tell the remainder of us what you think is "the real" problem in Stillwater. I'll get me so popcorn and a soda while this is hashed out. Old fart is out of here!!

The real problem is kids don't want to have to work to be "noticed". The ones with star potential rarely will go to schools that do not have a pedigree in football, i.e. Okie State. I would like to see OSU be much more competitive on a yearly basis, gives much more meaning to bedlam than just an instate rival like KU/KSU. Even with Pickens building a high class facility and a decent stadium the recruits will pause and think about going there. Same thing with OU on the defensive side of the ball. Most the high profile defensive players go to the SEC to get noticed. OU and OSU need to get better coordinators and position coaches that can wring every bit of talent out the players they do have. OSU has done better at this as OU has had some dismal defensive play the last few years. Mike Stoops wasn't just to blame, he is not responsible for the poor tackling and players not knowing where their positions are. Just my two cents.
