When I went to Broken Bow for beginning of muzzle loader, I stopped to get gas once I got down there. While filling up it dawned on me that I had left my boots sitting on my gun room back at home. Ended up having to buy a new pair while down there.
Note to self, make sure you put ammo in backpack your taking hunting the next day. I made it all the way to the stand once, looked down and saw an empty box mag in the rifle.
Wouldn't you know it a great buck is slow walking about 150 yards away. Literally dumped my backpack on the floor of the blind, and had one round from who knows when in the bottom. One is all it took....

Shot a doe on a controlled hunt in Wichita Mountains NWR eight days before Thanksgiving and shot this buck down here this past Tuesday. Waiting on my dad to close the deal now.

Out running the feed route this morning and noticed 2 coyotes running from a pond. Then I noticed what they were after. I called the hunters we have in this area. Buck is crippled on right hind.
Finally got a shot at the cull buck that I’ve been tryin to take out of the herd all season. Just need to get the boy on a good one now.
