It's not going to work out for him unfortunately.
If you ever get the chance go to the Bass Pro shop in Springfield Mo to their new Natural History museum. They have a hall of antlers that has some of the original or reproductions of whitetail racks over 200" that dwarf that rack.
One rack is so screwed up that B&C said it was impossible to score with so many points and so much mass.

I'm pretty sure you're right about that. That buck is beautiful, I'd love to have him, and I envy that guy, but in the scheme of things he probably isn't gonna make any money off that trophy.

How many of these guys actually make any substantial money anyway? They may get a few gizmos, a nice hunt somewhere occasionally, but monetarily speaking, I seriously doubt it's worth the hassle of doing shows, photo shoots, etc. Same with being a sponsored shooter. I'd rather pick how many matches AND what matches I want to shoot. The juice just isn't worth the squeeze to me, but I'm a cantankerous old fart too. YMMV.

I always assumed bass pros paid people good money to have the mounts at the stores. Well there goes my dream :)

Yeah, if it were me, I’d probably post the story and pictures on a message board or two, but that’s about it. I have absolutely no desire to go to any hunting extravaganzas or the like and listen to 500 people tell me their big buck stories.:rolleyes2

Honestly, I hope this guy enjoys his 15 minutes of fame.:thumb:

I would have never thought of capitalizing on a harvest.

Now I have eaten the new state record long nose gar 2 times.
The next time I will get my name in the fishing regulations and stop eating 50+ pound ones.

I had one on last year i bet would have done it. and handed the pole to a buddies ailing father.
He could barely keep hold of the pole much less reel it in.
After several minutes it finally broke the line or twisted up enough to cut it.

With the above deer I probably would have posted it here and a couple other forums.. but that would be it
I do not have that fancy name brand hat and hoodie though.

I'm probably in the minority here, but crazy looking racks like that do nothing for me.
Its like a chick with huge fake boobs...while boobs are nice, and big boobs are nicer...they gotta look natural.
I like boobs no matter how they get em.
For the holiday season, reindeer boobs are the current fad. (this is actually a sweater, not the real deal.)
Google reindeer boobs, but not at work.
