First off, who cares if you have a hangup on homosexuality. Second, you forget there are women on this MB (at least one), so their SO could be a male.
As soon we heard the noise, my gf would do a back flip over me as I rolled to her side of the bed. I would pluck the throwing knife out of the scabbard on that side, and spring to the door, flinging the knife around the corner. Bad Guy No. 1 would go down immediately. Next, I would dash down the hallway while my gf came up behind me with a baton. Upon reaching the next corner, I would grab her free hand and swing her around so she could sprint up the next wall to the ceiling, delivering several good swats to Bad Guys No. 2 and 3, both of whom would lie down for good. As she came down the opposite wall, I would be diving for the Hi Point .22 Bad Guy No. 3 had, and I would scoop it up and plug Bad Guy No. 4 right in the left eye. Gotta remember the poor terminal performance of those .22 rounds at distance, you know.

Next, I would make coffee for my gf while she dialed the police non-emergency number to come tag and bag ‘em.

the barefoot killer in edmond might have already known how the husband would react to strange noises, the killer waited in a dark spot then charged him with a knife

We actually had a past member on here that specialized in crime scene/suicide cleanup. Haven't seen him on here in awhile, but we met at a gun show once and he told me what he did for a living. He makes knives as a side hobby. Insurance companies usually hired him.

I have Alexa enabled lights in my home. One of the modes I have enabled is when I say panic, all lights in house and both porches come on EXCEPT bedrooms and hall. I can see them they can’t me, I hope.

And since you used Alexa approximately 50% of the worlds criminals know you just turned on all of your lights and when you turned them off.

In response to the OP, I don’t keep a long gun in the bedroom at present. Just the Glock with an extra mag. So, I’d retrieve that and the stinger flashlight, get the wife on the phone to the sheriff, and then go to the master bath off the bedroom and wait. She can take cover in the claw foot bath or in her closet. We sleep with the bedroom door closed, so if the person or persons attempted entry in my last sanctuary then I feel confident that I could do what needs to done.
