Signed an agreement with an attorney to represent me in a personal injury claim on July 3rd. She was all gung-ho to go. 6 months later and not only has she not contacted me she won't return phone calls or answer emails. Thoughts or ideas on finding a new mouthpiece?

Here is another source for checking court records. Occasionally one site shows cases the other doesn’t.

I am NOT a lawyer. I don’t know anything about any of the parties involved or the case, but if the lawyer took your money and did not do anything with your case, I’d start here with a complaint.

At the very least you will need to serve written notice to terminate the contract, and MAY end up having to pay for any billable hours they claim up to this point. I think it should be pretty easy, but you really need to talk to another attorney about it. Screenshot the lack of filing with OSCN, though, that's probably one of your biggest points INMSHO. Also keep records/logs of ALL attempts at contact.

You don't know what'd been going on behind the scenes in terms of research, so they could claim a whole lot of billable hours for "research" or interviews you know nothing about.

You need to talk to an attorney.

Contact the Oklahoma Bar Association for assistance in terminating the relationship with the attorney. At this point you don’t want to use this attorney no matter what the response is. If you have paid a retainer, ask for a return.
I’d suggest filing a complaint also. Your case may be unique, but I’d guess an attorney treating you this way also has other complaints.

I may or may not make made an error, but I was rear-ended and didn't seek an attorney. I went to the Doctor and received treatment. By the time all the bills are in, I'll have the option to retain a lawyer if they fail to pay what I believe is a fair settlement. A lawyer receives around 33% of the settlement and I've had no contact with any but I've received several letters seeking to represent me...

John, this happened to me and their insurance didn’t want to pay as much as the total medical. I had a 24 month deadline to get an attorney.
He got the insurance increased and the medical lowered and even after his 1/3, I had a little left for pain and suffering.
Just keep track of the 24 month limit.
