Anecdotes are fun...

One of my buddies probably smokes 3-4 times a week and so does his wife, they're not much into drinking or anything else. They each own their own business and run them respectively, doing quite well. In fact he's down at USSA or shooting somewhere at least once a week. Which makes me jealous.

One of my clients is a real estate developer that I believe smokes every day, or at the very least pretty frequently. His last deal was for an 8 figure number, has 3 homes, several cars, a plane and he travels the country in what I call the rock star bus. 2 Million + bus with Ostrich skin walls.

On the flip side I could tell you about a number of people just like some of the others relayed, but I can't confirm that alcohol or harder stuff never came to into play.
I know more people who smoke weed than dont. And I dont know any homeless, unemployed or mentally ill people.

Of course there is nothing else that might play into this.
I drink a lot of water. I got sick last year and had to have surgery to remove my rotten colon.
Water will rot your colon.
Yeah, I can tell you're sincere (as usual). :rolleyes2:

My friend knows there's a problem, and thinks smoking so much weed when he was younger is the reason. He has no other health issues that I'm aware of, and I'm guessing he knows better than I do what the cause might be.

FWIW, I don't care whether pot is legalized or not. I literally couldn't care less for myself, as I don't use the stuff.

Again, your call. Your ability to function (or not) won't likely have an impact on me either way. :drunk2:

From what I understand, genetics play a large role in many diseases, and especially cancer. That's why some folks can smoke cigarettes/cigars well into their 90s with no ill effects, and some folks are eat up with it before 50.

In any case, I hope ya get 100% well and they're able to put yer plumbing back in proper order.

Luck. :drunk2:

A dear friend of mine smoked a lot of pot in his teens and early twenties. His brother was a dealer, and he got all he wanted for free.

By his own admission, his mental faculties are nowhere near they were when we met (he was mid-20s, I was around 30).

We used to rapid-fire zingers about various topics constantly (some of you may have noticed that I more/less have a sense of humor), but now he sometimes takes several seconds just responding to simple questions, and especially when the topic changes. He's in his mid 50s.

Believe it or don't, smoke it or don't. FWIW, weed wasn't nearly so strong back then.

Your call. :drunk2:
i have a friend like that. he was fine smoking weed all day every day from about 12 years old and stayed sharp as a tack till his mid-late 20s...where he got hooked on opiates and lost some mental capacity and sharpness. You sure he stayed strictly to weed?

it doesn't really matter though, the ABUSE of anything is bad. smoke a J a day and you will be fine, eat a cookie a day and you'll be fine. Have a glass of wine a day or a beer and you'll be fine. Stay stoned all day every day chances are you will procrastinate on things and maybe ignore some responsibilities that need attention, eat a box of cookies a day and you will develop diabetes or heart disease, if you kill a 30 pack a day then your liver will fail and you will die a horrible death.

I think the point many of you against marijuana legalization miss is this: whether its bad or not I should have the freedom to choose for myself...exactly like I have with alcohol or sugar. If I take it overboard and abuse it then that's on me and really none of your bees wax.

Gun grabbers think guns are bad and are striving to remove that freedom you currently have to choose whether or not gun ownership is right for you...and you all b*tch and moan about how stupid they are...then turn around and do the exact same thing with marijuana...which kills fewer people per year than firearms.
