I'll have to do some more looking at glock parts. They didn't seem to have any spring assemblies when I looked. But then, it was pretty late at night when I looked.

They have them. Just call them. Promise.

The picture shown earlier is a captured recoil spring assembly. If the assembly had came apart, then yes, it would need replacing.

I’m still a Glock Armorer and I can take a look at it if you have any doubts. Just send me a PM and we can get together.

OK. Since I've never purchased a used handgun before, I would appreciate a professional looking at it. Plus, believe it or not, I'm just a few miles north of your "location." (Provided that you are still in Blanchard.)

I'm in Edmond (work by the airport) and a Glock armorer as well. If Fyrtwuck can't fit into your schedule hit me up and I'll see what I can do to help you out.

Sounds like you didnt have the rear of the rsa seated in the barrel lug correctly when you put it back together. There are 2 steps in the barrel lug where the rsa can sit and it needs to be seated in the deepest one. May not have been your problem but that happens a lot.

Yeppers. Pretty much what I probably did wrong that first time. It has functioned properly since then, and druryj's comments eased my mind a lot. Fyrtwuck just left after checking out the 30SF. He says that it looks like it hasn't been fired much at all as there was very little wear on the tip of the barrel. Since I figured that he wouldn't charge me anything for looking at the 30SF, we treated him to lunch at KT's Smokehouse before coming to the RV to look it over. Being a Glock armorer, he broke the 30SF all the way down and inspected all of it.

I appreciate him for doing that, and I appreciate everyone that commented here in this thread. Now, I'll feel very comfortable with taking it to a range. What I noticed that seemed to indicate more usage was the wear on the slide lock thumb whichie. I never even thought that the wear probably came from being in a holster.

Anyway, thanks to all here and especially my thanks to Fyrtwuck. Y'all are good folks.
