Here, but occasionally There.
Got a couple of videos at YouTube to watch of the Cumbres and Toltec steam trains. In this first one, which is taken by a drone, there is one area of the video where the train is headed right for the drone and the scenery is Fall colors and the train is emitting very dark grey smoke...

...beautiful!!

This next one is quite a bit longer, roughly 39 minutes, but it also gets the Cumbres and Toltec in different seasons.

We have ridden the Durango to Silverton steam train in the past, and I have hopes of taking the Cumbres and Toltec some day.

The Chama, NM to Antonito, CO train is better than the Durango route in my opinion. The midway stop for lunch is worth the price itself!

We've done the Durango/Silverton route, but not the Chama/Antonito route. We'll have to try that. What's the lunch stop?

We spent a Month in Antonito last summer in the RV. We didn't take the train, but saw it in its travels through the pass, etc as we were driving through in our travels. There is an open top box car right behind the engine that you can access and wander around in freely to take pics along the way. One lady from the RV park took the trip with some pretty fancy photo equipment and had issues. Some guy in the front of the open box car had a big chaw of beechnut in his cheek and kept spitting over the side which drifted back to everyone behind him. The got the conductor to run him out of the car.
Easy to spot while driving along its route as the smoke/steam plume is visible for quite a ways before you can actually see the train. No cross arms where the track cross the highway so you have to watch out.
