I showered last night and got up this morning and had no water.. I called into work and then proceeded to trouble SHOOT the problem, well after 3 trips to ACE and replacing the controller it must be the pump.. The local fella gave me a price of $ 1200 installed.. OUCH..

I have always done it myself. It’s not that bad with a helper or two. Do you know how deep it is and pvc or flex pipe and horse power?

I do what I can myself, but this may be too much to ask of my old body as it is roughly 300 feet and 1 HP, if it was +/- 100 I might tackle it and it is PVC.. Naturally the fellow I contacted has a rig instead of people power.. Finding myself out of commission to save some $ wouldn't be saving $..

My local guy here in Shawnee did my dads about 6 years ago and it was about the same price. They are a great company though. Loman well and pump. The owner died a couple years ago but his wife and son run it still. Hopefully mine won’t kick the bucket anytime soon.

I've done ours before at 142 ft but 300 ft is way too much to pull by hand.
Come to think of it that's probably why I've broke my back twice. Trying to do crazy crap by myself.

Spooner pump is the local fellow, him and his wife came out and accessed the situation and said they'd be back with the truck in a few minutes.. A few minutes later and they were back, backed up the truck and went to work.. I'd guess 2.5- 3 hours and done.. Nice folks, I stuck around and pitched in a wee bit, talked about the country life and such.. 14 pcs of 20foot pvc and attached a new Goulds pump with no control box on the outside as the previous one had.. We've got water once again..
