There will always be Glocks if you want one. Like you said, you might want to get a Williams BHP before it's too late. Plus the BHP even in stock form is a significantly better shooter.

Go with the High power.

99% of owning guns is pride of ownership and you said you don't like Glocks. People who say guns are just tools and they don't care about them are full of it if you ask me.

Rusty, sorry, but you sir, are wrong.

Pride of ownership is a factor for many of us for maybe one or two guns. But the plastic Glock that I carry almost daily and trust totally really is just a tool. I’m not really proud of it, and it’s nothing special. I can replace it easily and it isn’t very expensive. I don’t exhibit any particular sort of pride in it and eagerly show it off to people...(Hey look! It’s a Glock! I’m so proud of it!). Naw.

I care for it in that I keep it clean and lubed more than I really care about it. I have no emotional attachment to it. Does that make me full of it? I say no.

I completely disagree with GED. There is a reason the BHP has been around for years, the SAS still use it. Same for the 1911, but let's not go down that road. It will be used for everything, EDC, bug out bag, when we're alone at night and by ourselves while I'm slowly caressing the slide, cough, cough lets not go down that road either. Anyway.....to me the weapon is a tool. It doesn't matter if it cost $300 or is a Yost Custom. To have the HP customized is a personal preference(THANKS to Gary)butthole..I don't need to seed the HP off, it's never given me any problem's. It eats everything I have fed it with no malfunction's.
Made up my mind, Ron you will be happy.

OK, so if it is "just" a tool , can I borrow the 38 super !! I promise I will bring it back............... eventually.

Sounds like you really want the worked over BHP. But have you thought about the Beretta 92 or PX4? Especially the Langdon versions?
I also wouldn't rule out HK P30s or USPs.

The best pistol right out of the box that I've ever had is my Walther PPQ. And... Walther has a deal going on right now:
"
WE ARE SO CONFIDENT THAT YOU WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH THE WALTHER PPQ THAT WE ARE OFFERING A 30 DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE.
SHOOT IT, IF YOU LOVE IT, KEEP IT, IF YOU DON’T SEND IT BACK FOR A FULL REFUND! WE’LL EVEN PAY SHIPPING.

Iffin' Jimmy don't mind me sharing the back story, it goes like this: Gary sends DW a LW BHP, and it comes back super slick. Then Jimmy gets it. And it is super slick. Then Gary gets it back. Then Jimmy wants it back again, but Gary is smarter than that and decides he'll keep it a spell longer. So now Jimmy wants one of his own. And Jimmy didn't have it long enough for me to shoot it--though I did get to handle it--so there we are. And I'd be quite happy with a USPc with the LEM trigger, or a P30L with the same trigger, but Jimmy isn't partial to plastic guns, so there we are again. Simple ain't it?
