Iffin' Jimmy don't mind me sharing the back story, it goes like this: Gary sends DW a LW BHP, and it comes back super slick. Then Jimmy gets it. And it is super slick. Then Gary gets it back. Then Jimmy wants it back again, but Gary is smarter than that and decides he'll keep it a spell longer. So now Jimmy wants one of his own. And Jimmy didn't have it long enough for me to shoot it--though I did get to handle it--so there we are. And I'd be quite happy with a USPc with the LEM trigger, or a P30L with the same trigger, but Jimmy isn't partial to plastic guns, so there we are again. Simple ain't it?
Ha! That's funny right there.

But the H&K plastic fantastics aren't your everyday normal tupperware. They were designed from the ground up for military usage and the Germans being Germans had to throw in shooting itty bitty groups too. The testing they did is almost unbelievable. It's on the level of the Manurhin MR73 revolver, their durability is just off the chain.

What is the purpose? I mean, you said you are "in need of a hi cap pistol"? If we knew what it was going to be used for it might make a difference.

For instance, I have Glocks for my "truck guns" and quick home defense. I have a bunch of loaded interchangeable mags with capacity and finger extensions for my G22 and G26s (and a Sub2000 that fits them as well). I don't care how they look, don't care shite about them except they go bang if I need them to.

For a custom Hi Power... with $1800 worth of customizing? Not something I want to carry every day or get banged around.

So anyways... my vote is - "it depends".
I’m with tRidiot on this one

I don't own collector pieces. Every gun I own, I shoot. Now don't get me wrong, I had a 1913 Colt 1911 that was in 97% plus condition, I didn't carry it nor leave it in my truck, but I did shoot it. Not very much, but it did get shot.
I am going to send the HP off for custom work. It will be used as a carry weapon, something to show my friends and other every day use.

... when we're alone at night and by ourselves while I'm slowly caressing the slide...
JIMMY! You told me all that wear was from the holster! I guess I don't want to know what you call a "holster."
:angry3::hellno::bolt:

Oh..and sell me those archaic, antique Smith and Wesson revolvers. They are old and unsafe so I'm gonna do you a favor and "dispose" of them in a safe manner so you don't hurt yourself.
