Since retirement I set my alarm to 8am, 3 hours more sleep than I used to get, sometimes I wake up about 7, but sometimes at 8 I hit the snooze a time or two. It's nice not to be ruled by the clock. I only set it a 8am so I don't sleep so late that I start to get my days and nights flipped.

Ok, so I'm hearing maybe lunch on Saturday the 30th would be a better option for some. I get that. And we would have a better chance to hang out and socialize a little longer without getting run out of some place.

So... let's do that.

Now, I don't know where would be an option. The only really places I can think of offhand in the OKC area are Ingrid's and Whiskey Cake. WC is likely gonna be busy, and isn't really conducive to pulling together a number of tables for a largish group, I don't think. Ingrid's is... ok. I've been there a couple of times and while it was good, I didn't think it was the amazing place I was expecting. Decent food, though.

What do you guys think? Ya'll who live over that way give us some ideas for a decent place to gather and spread out a little bit and visit.

Take em to Thunder Roadhouse, Memorial and Western. Decent food, cold beer, live racing, make all the racket you want. i really am fond of their chili burger and the meatloaf is good too.

Well crap... I paid for a hotel for 2 nights in OKC. Planned on maybe going to see @lasher Friday evening, get-together Saturday.

Got a message a family friend passed away in the night, I am guessing services are going to be on Saturday, probably. So that throws a wrench in all that stuff, for me, anyways.

Well, we were thinking lunch on the 30th might be better for various reasons. I might still be able to make that, but my suspicion is that I will be at a funeral. I don't know yet, though, probably won't until tomorrow. Of course, this isn't about me, if others still wish to meet up this weekend, that's fine. I might just have to do it another time. :anyone:

The more the merrier, I say. Of course, my schedule is usually pretty doggone flexible. If we can put it off until a later date and give more people more time to plan and coordinate and get a better turn-out, I'm all for it!
