It might just be my local TX Roadhouse in Lawton. The steak is so salty, we always order it unseasoned. I wish they could all be as good as the Stillwater location.
The Texas Roadhouse in Stillwater sucks. I've always done the pick out your own 16 oz rib eye steak routine. Ordered medium rare and always mention that I'm picky about how my steak is cooked. Out of 5 visits, my request of medium rare has always came out medium well. So tough I'd rather eat shoe leather.
When I cut into it and show the wait staff its over done, they send out some 8 oz cut of something to replace it. That's when I ask for the manager.
I don't want a free dessert, I don't want a free appetizer on my next visit, I want my steak I picked out medium rare.
Meanwhile everybody else is done with their meal, and I'm not going to wait for another.
I swore off ordering steaks there for a year or so, getting the meat loaf or pork chops, and a couple months ago tried the steak again. Ordered it rare this time thinking it might just have a tiny bit of pink in the center, but hell no. Nothing but grey meat. I'm done with that place.

$71 dollars to eat 1 meal, SMH, I'm glad I'm happily married to a good cook.. $71 likely feeds us a full week.. We can have a shrimp and scallop meal for about 10 bucks or so with a Klondike bar for desert.. The steaks "I" cook because on mine I put it on, turn it over and take it off I want it to MOO when I stick it with the fork.. I have wanted to try the Firelake Grand all you can eat so I can see how many Lobster tails I can consume But I believe I'd see that $71 dollar check.. Honey what's for dinner..

Honestly that is the most I have ever paid for a dinner for two. I wish I would have seen the menu posted to the right of the door on the window before setting foot in the place. The most expensive steak they had was $52!!! Yeah I will not be going back. If I didnt know any better the ice cream taste like the cheapest they could find.

Here, but occasionally There.
Ha!!! The wife and I have a tendency to split a meal. We'll go into Raising Cane's and order the Caniac combo and split the chicken strips and fries. We were in a Braum's the other day and they have a chicken strip combo with chicken, fries, biscuit, and a pudding dessert.

Damn bunch of cheap asses. Does is a decent upper end steakhouse, I was sad when it went out of business in Tulsa as we always went there or Bonefish while in Tulsa.

And who the hell gets sirloin at a nice steak place??? Save that for Outback. We've always gotten their porterhouse 2 inches thick it has always been good.

You turds need to live a little and take your wife out to some nice places. Have some wine, whiskey appetizers and creme brûlée and live it up a bit.

Steak is at most the worst item to order out as you can surely make it better and cheaper at home. I prefer to get something out that either I cant do on my own cheaper or better. Like a nice Italian joint that makes pasta from scratch, etc.

Wife and I went to "Gage's Steak House" in Guthrie for our 22nd Anniversary celebration. She ordered the Blackened Salmon and I the Filet of Beef. (It was a share-and-share deal between us.) Everything was absolutely delicious, perfectly prepared, took just enough time to know it wasn't something sliced off a slab of something that had been cooked hours earlier, and the waitress was pleasant, courteous, and helpful.

For a place that is "casual dress", it certainly is elegant dining. The pricing is not cheap, but is far from outrageous. I highly recommend checking it out for yourselves.

Oh, and we brought home what we couldn't possibly finish last evening and will have a repeat dining adventure tonight!:spaghetti:
