And all scopes I have ever owned will fog on the outside. Take one in the bathroom after a shower and breath on it.

EDIT: FWIW, nitrogen keeps 'em from fogging on the inside, where ya can't wipe it off.

Coatings will stop, slow down, or help organize different wavelengths(colors) into the lenses, usually the ones that are perceived as adding low light clarity.

Cowcatcher I think this scope is one that was on a rifle that I had back in my younger days so yeah it’s old lol! I got it cleaned up with some alcohol and cutipps oh and by the way I went road hunting for morels and found 6 and no ticks lol

I knew I would get slack for that.
I have as many of us have hunted in some really bad weather and more moisture in the air than you can have in some bathrooms and scope fog is a real bummer.
So much fog it drips off the scope and do not think about breathing near it if you get it wiped off.
I have a couple old Tasco scopes that hold zero perfectly and have returned many new Tasco scopes for hazing over on the inside and not holding zero.
I will not buy another new Tasco.
