Another school shooting in Colorado.

I have a friend, who's wife works across the street from the school, let me know right as it happened.
She says the tactical team is walking around, but they aren't running around actively looking for someone. She only saw a couple ambulances.
Why schools don't allow (or require?) teachers to be armed is beyond my comprehension.
Sadly, this probably isn't going to stop because there is simply no deterrent. "Safe zone" indeed - for the shooters. :/

Have friends up there who live in Highlands Ranch work and have kids in the district. Shooter or Shooters (I believe they said two) went to a room of seniors and started shooting. apparently some large senior boys in the front row immediately rushed and took down the shooters until they were apprehended by officers.
So there were casualties but it was short and intense. Good on those young men if indeed what’s reported is accurate.
It may sound a little crass but this is meant to be sarcastic. But this CAN not have happened. We have LAWS against this. Therefore it is impossible. The same things goes for all the supposed shootings in gun control states. It just didn't happen because those laws worked..... In fact EVERY state has laws against this type of thing. There is no murder in the US because the laws prevent it. There also is NOT a drug problem because it is against the law to abuse drugs.
But to be honest here people when Columbine happened multiple laws were broken and I don't mean one or two... At the very least you would be looking at:

There is a separate charge for every single crime on that list and the LAWS put on the books did nothing against it. The only way to prevent violence is to have a true deterrent available at the point where violence may happen. In the case of schools that IS armed staff members who know how to use it and how to deal with the situation. Because obviously laws do not work.

- Aggravated assault
- Assault with a deadly weapon

- Assault Threatening and intimidating
- Conspiracy to commit felony
- Conspiracy to commit misdemeanor
- Aiding and abetting
- Providing firearm to minor
- Providing handgun to minor
- Possession of firearm by minor
- Possession of handgun by minor
- Possession of firearm by minor without federally required permission slip from parent or guardian
- Use of firearm or bomb to commit murder that is federally prosecutable
- Possession of NFA weapon (sawed off shotgun)
- Manufacture of NFA weapon
- Brandishing a gun
- Brandishing a bomb
- Possession of bomb making materials
- Possession of explosives
- Possession of explosives by minor
- Possession of explosives with malicious intent
- Making of explosives
- Placing of explosives
- Use of explosives
- Concealed carry without permit
- Gun on school grounds
- Another gun on school grounds
- Yet another gun on school grounds
- Possession of ammunition on school grounds
- Fraudulently obtaining guns and ammo
