Does anyone know the type of firearms used? I can't seem to find it in anything I've read.

I've read handguns, but not what kind or even that it's been confirmed.
I kinda thought that since an "evil black rifle " was plastered all over the news reports it must have been another type but wasn't sure.
Do tell. All I have seen is that it was 2 students, 1 minor and 1 adult.
But I haven't been researching this one as it gets my blood boiling too much. Can't stand cowardly acts like this.

One of the suspects in Tuesday’s shooting that killed one person and injured eight others at a Colorado school has been identified not by name but as a juvenile in “the midst of transitioning from female to male,” according to sources of a Denver television station.
The other suspect was identified by the Douglas County sheriff’s office as Devon Erickson, 18.
The K-12 school, STEM School Highlands Ranch, is only a few miles from the site of the 1999 Columbine High School shooting.
“Sources said the motive of the alleged shooters went beyond bullying and involved revenge and anger toward others at the school and that at least one of the suspects was involved in legal and illegal drug use and had been in therapy,” Denver’s KMGH-TV reported.
Authorities on Wednesday said their investigation was continuing with more interviews.
The Twitter news aggregator Twitchy noted that, according to news reports, Erickson was angry about anti-gay comments made by Christians.
The Washington Times reported Erickson, citing Heavy.com, said on social media he hated Christians for their teaching on homosexuality. And he apparently was not a fan of President Trump.
Once again it takes a non-US outlet to get us more detailed info. I just wish they hadn't named the male shooter and posted his picture.

Tl;dr: one male (18) and one female (minor, also mistaken for a male) shooter. Three handguns and a rifle were recovered, but the shooting was with two handguns concealed in a guitar case. Each shooter went to a different classroom to begin the shooting. Male shooter's car was spray painted with "F*** SOCIETY", "666" and a pentagram. Allegedly on his social media before it was pulled:
Student Brendan Bialy was one of the heroes who charged a shooter. He is the one who is signed up to join the USMC on the delayed entry program (SEMPER FI!).
Another hero was student Kendrick Castillo, who sadly was killed as he charged one of the shooters.
A third as yet unnamed hero also joined the fray. No word yet on which shooter they confronted in what can only be described as a counter-assault charge. I have little doubt that their actions saved countless lives and are deserving of the highest honors our country can bestow. Brendan Bialy has already "signed a blank check", so I'd lobby for him to receive military honors as well.
We know what will happen in the coming days when craven, self-serving politicians get their grubby mitts on this. We need to remain focused on those who actually made a real difference and set the example for everyone else. These brave kids are worth more than a thousand politicians ever will be.

"Female" shooter was allegedly bullied due to gender identity. Male shooter's pics show a kid who could generously be described as "quirky". Allegedly they entered the school through and entry point that didn't have metal detectors.

You mean it wasn't middle-aged angry white males, distraught Christian right-wingers who were hell-bent on slaughtering innocent LGBTQ and #MeToo peaceful demonstrators in their pink hats, all the while singing Trump's praises and waving their violence-filled Bibles?

George Brauchler, the 18th Judicial District Attorney, asked the judge to seal Erickson’s case file until the investigation is further along and he requested that Erickson be jailed without bond. Brauchler also asked if he could have until Monday to file formal charges.
A bond hearing for Erickson is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Friday.
