I think he's waiting on us to sound the alarm, to wake people up. It's amazing what was once up is now down and vice versa. All because of apathy.

What's the big deal? The Teacher marries a guy. Nothing obtrusive or graphic about it. No cartoon fudge gets packed.
Watching TV is a voluntary activity. Just block the channel.

I do not understand why our public school system needs to have any part of promoting any type of lifestyle. Teach how to pay attention, do what you are supposed to do, reading, writing, and arithmetic, leave all the rest of the "social skills" crap out of their part of developing our kids. JMO

Best response in this thread. I don't give a crap if your hair is purple, your BFF is the same sex or whatever. It's your life and you have my support to live it your way when becoming an adult...Keyword, when your an adult and not a 3 year old.
Schools are for education, and yes we had social studies back in the day that actually discussed different lifestyles in different countries and remained 100% neutral for judgement.
I was in classes during High School with gay men and gay women. We knew who they were even without the "higher education" telling us. Nobody had to shove it down our throats. There were homophobes then and there are homophobes now. 99.9% of us just went to classes. ran around with our friends and hoped to get laid as a goal in HS life. That was it!

Now the "higher educated" need to shove this down our children's throats to indoctrinate them. The history of indoctrinating children goes way back to Socialism and the Nazi's. Children turned in their parents and relatives because they believed the state that educated them.
That's historical record, not the rant of anyone.

History is repeating itself. Not only in indoctrinating children to oppose their parents in social issues but now in the insidious CLIMATE CHANGE!!

I found this link and it's interesting. Here is the first Paragraph:

Prominent on the group’s expanded menu of concerns was climate change, and humanity’s presumed role in driving it. The Alliance’s members began line-reading school textbooks for violations of their beliefs, creating carefully detailed reports on how many times, and in what context, elementary and high school students were learning about rising seas, or melting ice in Antarctica. “Unfortunately, what it’s become is indoctrination and not education. That’s our major problem,” Vernon said, echoing a prevailing concern among members of the Alliance and likeminded conservatives everywhere: the unchecked power and control over social institutions by perceived liberal elites. “We’re really concerned,” he added, “that our kids are not being educated, [but] simply indoctrinated in the philosophy of the academic aristocracy.”

Keeping the real world away from your children will ultimately hurt them when they have to live in it for real.

Then why is this not practiced at colleges and universities? Safe spaces and puppies to cuddle when students get 'micro-aggressed' is keeping the 'real world' away from college students and people of college age should be mature enough to handle 'words that hurt' and cope with it like mature adults.

I don't object to parents teaching kids about 'alternate lifestyles' but for Pete's good sake, the schools have no business doing this.
I notice that ignored member has yet to answer this. Surely there has been time enough to think of a good answer.
