i now have in South Dakota. I saw it yesterday driving out of the North Eastern Silver Gate at Yellowstone too. Thought we were going to have to turn around because Beartooth bypass is still closed and it was snowing like crazy and it was 32 degrees. We had to go back to Silver Gate Montana at the entrance of Yellowstone and ask at a store. No phone service there. Luckily we were able to take the scenic route around the bypass. That was a beautiful drive between Yellowstone and the Big Horn national park. It was just really long and had no phone service most of the way.
I’ve learned if you don’t have your route loaded in the google maps app before you start, it will not load without service.

8 or 10 years ago my wife and I were in Yellowstone on June 2nd. It snowed 14 inches from the time we went to bed until we were just getting out of the park that day. They were closing roads behind us as we were leaving. Craziest thing I have ever seen.

Don't forget to get a hot dog at Wapiti Weiner Stand as you come back this way. A few miles west of that is the most amazing antler sales company on earth.

I was in Killdeer ND last month. The melt off is amazing. Mandaree was a slog to say the least. Tracks everywhere though, I absolutely have to go back and hunt this fall.

We stayed at the Rand Creek Ranch in Wapiti one night. Got a cool log cabin for the night. It was an awesome place and the wife wants to go back and stay a few days to do different outdoor stuff. Unfortunately I missed the hot dog stand.

I’ll post a picture of a truck in Custer South Dakota that was stacked over the cab with antlers.
