Some people just don’t worry. Even if you tell them, they think you’re paranoid. I’ve known a few people like this and I end up getting as far away from them as I can. Had a friend recently that thought I was ridiculous for insisting that she look out and see who was there before opening the door. Also for ridiculous for suggesting she stop at stop signs and look both ways. I thought that was something you teach all children.
I bet some of these guys have been told the laws but aren’t worried about it.
