They upped the ante overnight. Highest threat level now out west and damn near the rest of the state in the next to highest level. Y'all be safe...

Who is they? If it's the NWS, okay, if it's 4, 5 or 9 then I usually believe about half their hype.

Well the rain has started in Tulsa, a little small cell has shown up south of Tulsa and moved this way. Its coming down pretty steady. A nice cool breeze was blowing this morning when wife and I went for a walk at 6:30. Its a big old storm in Kansas with a leg sticking out over Oklahoma right now. The weird thing radar shows the leg going from NW to SE normally they seem to go the other way SW to NE.

At work, we had a tornado drill to go to the FEMA room this morning. We are now closed down for the day and officially off at 1300 hours. Still not a drop yet here in Lawton.

Didn’t they predict something serious like this last year and absolutely nothing happened?

The local guys did, but the NWS was pretty laid back about last year. Right now even the NWS is saying this is going to be bad. When they all say its bad, it has a very high chance to be bad. The atmospheric conditions are exactly like it was in 2013, and today is the 6 year anniversary of that EF5 in Moore.

I see. That doesn’t sound good. I can’t decide whether it’s better to be in Jones or Midwest City.
