How far have you driven or would you drive to beat someone up.
I got nothing better to do sometimes so I would say anywhere in America. :)

Buddy of mine does security and programs the systems and was on the phone telling this guy how to fix the issue he was having.
The guy was not hearing it and called my friend stupid etc etc etc.
Guy was in California and buddy was here.
The guy got beligerant and my friend told him I have nothing better to do so I will come to you and we can settle this like MEN!
Guy said come on I will clean the floor with you.
Buddy said I am on my way and hung up the phone.

The irate guy on the west coast calls back about 3 minutes later and the boss answers.
My buddy told him if anyone calls for me tell them I am headed to California to settle an argument.

That west coast guy got all scared and removed his picture and contact info from the company data files.
Never heard anything from him after that.

I was in Northern visiting sick relatives and wife was here got house broke into.
I head back as quick as I can. less than 24 hours of driving and I am home.

The insurance company sent out some fools to remove my exterior doors and install new ones.
Had it done before I was home.
I want my old doors back they were expensive solid core antique doors and the seals sealed up tight..unlike what they installed. Cheap particle board slabs.

Guys were done and trash all over the yard and did not trim out the siding just pulled off the aluminum trim I installed and took it wife said it was all bent up anyway.

I drove to the company in OKC not far from my house in Spencer.
Demanded to talk with the 2 idiots that ruined my doors. I want my old doors and trim.
They said they were not there and the trim is on order.
BS.
I walked past all the fools in the office and went straight into the warehouse behind them where I seen a big bundle of brown aluminum trim.
I grabbed it and walked out the front door and told them my name and address and said send the 2 fools that you had working on my house out to talk with me.
Never heard from them.
I called the insurance company and gave them a good chewing out for that stunt also.

I was canceled shortly after that. State farm can cram it.

MAN UP!

FWIW, when an insurance company replaces something, the old something belongs to them. It's one way they can recoup losses.

It's just like when your car is totaled. You don't get to keep your old car if they pay you blue-book value for it.

Also... beatdowns ain't what they used to be. These days, you may become a felon if you start a fight. Felony assault and/or battery have different definitions in different states.

Just a couple thoughts. :drunk2:

Would you be happy with a Rock Island 1911 to replace a Wilson Combat 1911?

No. But I'd make a point to be there (or have someone I trusted to be) when the replacement arrived if at all possible.

I'm not saying he didn't get a raw deal on the doors, just made a couple points. Talking to the agent might have settled things a bit better, dunno.

Feel free to disagree.

Yea used to be if someone wanted to fight then both of you could duke it out and resolve the issues.
No cops were involved. Too many cry babies today.
Northern California I was in Ukiah and my averaged speed for the entire trip calculated out to 75MPH.
Yea many places I was running 100+ to get that average.

I got home as soon as I could.
My totaled cars I keep. And a few friends totaled cars :) I can fix it.
I have option to buy them back.
Nothing was wrong with my doors. The insurance company told me it was just their policy to replace entry doors after theft.
They could not show me where I signed anything that stated that would happen.
Some BS.
But Oh well I have sold that property years ago and more than doubled my money.

My experience has been when a situation escalated to the point where somebody called me for help and they let the offender know that "someone" is on the way, the offender instantly changes course and the situation is spontaneously resolved. I've had keys in hand before to drive from Cincinnati, OH to Bowling Green, OH....Central Nebraska to central Mississippi...and Tulsa to southern Alabama before...but somehow when keys are heard in hand, situation goes away.

Its gotta be for "family" though...not just some dude doing his job that made me mad.

One of them had no idea who I was. He said, and I quote "I'm not scared, you aint nothing but a 5'6" little *****"
I said I'm on my way and he reversed course. My sister had no further problems.
