kept clean under a good car cover

I have had many car covers and even tarps and here in Oklahoma you CAN'T keep a vehicle clean under one.
The dirt will accumulate and you will scratch the paint ..ask my buddy who stored his show room 66 corvette under the best car cover available.
Just will not turn out well.

2 of my neighbors have new trucks. One is a chevy extended cab and it is too long to fit in their garage. The other is a dodge and it is too tall to fit in that guys garage. Those guys were nervous when the storms came last night.I doubt I will ever spend $40,000.00 on a new truck but if I do I will measure my garage first.

What kind of nansy pansy garage do they have that won't fit an extended cab pick up? I park a half ton crew cab in my garage daily and used to park a 3/4 ton 4x4 crew cab in the garage.

Love my Tundra. Put 365,000 miles on a Tacoma and sold it to buy the Tundra because I tow a lot. Yeah, the mileage sucks but when pulling with the 4:30 gears my mileage only goes down around 1.5 mpg. That's pulling a high wind drag 7500 lb RV down the road.
Recently read about two Tundra's that have gone over the million mile mark with zero mechanical issues.
https://www.motor1.com/news/347462/second-toyota-tundra-1-million-miles/

The Tundra doesn't have the latest greatest accessories, but it has a proven engine and driveline that is bullet proof.
Rumors in 2022 they are going to do a generational change coming out with a 3/4 ton possibly and faint rumors about a diesel. But that is all speculation.

Both have extra large kitchens for some reason and it took room away from the garage, at least that is what they told me.Older people lived in both of these homes previously. The dodge guys garage would be long enough just not tall enough. His house is easily a $400,000 home.

I have a 2017 TRD 4x4 Tacoma that I bought for its reliability. I don’t tow with it or haul big items. Gearing on it sucks. On hilly roads or in windy conditions it constantly shifts between 4-6 gear to maintain speed. Other than that I like the truck. I do know the Tacoma’s hold their resale value. I’ve had enough GM/Ford 4x4 products over the years that I needed a break. My last GM, a 99 Sierra, I traded off after 154,000 miles and a transmissions/transverse case rebuild. The 5.3 motor never gave me any problems other than an intake gasket.

Sounds like Yota geared it a tad to high i fit constantly shifts up and down even in windy conditions. Might check around see what aftermarket rear gears you could put in it, lower the gears it would help just don't go to far or the rpm's on the highway will be high. My 94 chevy think has 3.73 running 70 it turns about 2500 rpms gets decent mileage.

Quite a bit of info about this on some the Tacoma forums. I had one from Dec to March of last year. Got tired of this, 0-60 in about an hour, and poor gas mileage.
