I have heard that these were police issue in the distant past and they are showing up as police trade ins at various places around the country. Have any of you seen any locally or do you have a good source that you would recommend?

That might be the website I tried to order a CZ 75 D PCR about a month ago, and got an email 15 minutes after ordering that their computer inventory was messed up, and they didn't actually have it in stock.

But they canceled the charge to my credit card immediately, and there was no harm. Just had to find it somewhere else.

Have any of you guys handled one or shot one? Looks like a interesting firearm. I wish I had a chance to see how it feels in the hand before throwing down two months of my toy allowance.

I have a beretta M9 and I like the double/ single action but it is heavy. Was hoping this firearm was similar but lighter.

3rd gen Smith’s are anything but light. They will make a fantastic range gun though. There are some alloy or aluminum framed models though.

Great guns, but like dlbleak said, they're not light. However, I don't think you'd regret purchasing one if you can find one.

I have a Smith and Wesson 669 that looks like the 6906. 9mm - 12 round magazine , alloy frame. I love the thing. Nuts accurate and nice to shoot. Rear sight is nothing special but it does the trick.
